    Finnish - Nut Cake

    1 cup granulated white sugar
    5 eggs
    1 cup ground nuts
    1 cup ground Zwieback, (found in
    ...aisle with baby foods
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    raspberry jam
    frozen whipped topping, thawed,
    ...or whipped cream
    Mix yolks of eggs with sugar.
    Mix Zwieback and ground nuts with baking powder.
    Add to first mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
    Bake in two layer pans in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
    Let cool.
    Spread bottom layer with raspberry jam and top layer with
    whipped topping or whipped cream.
