quiche - Hawaiian
1 Readycrust pie crust
2 tbl butter
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
8 oz can crushed pineapple
4 oz ham slices, chopped
4 oz sharp cheddar, shredded
4 oz swiss cheese, shredded
4 eggs
1/3 cup half and half
4 tsp Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp EACH of white pepper, horseradish, instant chicken bouillon
Drain pineapple, reserve liquid.
Heat oven to 375 deg.
Bake crust 13-17 minutes.
Melt butter in large skileet.
Add onion and bell pepper; cook until tender.
Add reserved pineapple liquid; cook until absorbed.
Stir in pineapple and ham.
Reserve 1/4 cup of ham mixture for topping.
Spoon remaining mixture into crust.
top w/shredded cheeses.
In medium bowl combine eggs, half and half, and seasonings; beat well.
Pour over cheeses.
Spoon reserved ham mixture on top.
Bake 30-40 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes.
