Pork Chops w/Stuffing
1/2 cup butter
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
10 cups soft bread cubes (1/2")
2 Tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pountry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup hot water
3 Tablespoons cooking oil
6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
salt
ground black pepper
1, 10 3/4 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup water
Cut and measure all ingredients before starting to cook.
Melt butter in 12 inch electric frypan/skillet over medium
heat 350 degrees F, about 5 minutes.
Add onion and celery. Saute 5 minutes or until tender.
Remove from heat.
Combine onion-celery mixture, bread cubes, parsley flakes,
1/2 tsp. salt, poultry seasoning, 1/2 tsp. pepper and 1/2 c.
hot water in large bowl. Mix lightly, but well. Set aside.
Wipe out skillet.
Heat oil in same electric frypan/skillet over medium heat
350 degrees F. for 5 minutes or until hot.
Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
Brown pork chops on both sides in hot oil, about 10 minutes.
Form stuffing into 6 mounds and place on top of chops.
Blend together soup and 1/2 c. water in bowl. Pour soup mixture
over stuffing and chops.
Reduce heat to low 220 degrees F.
Cover and simmer 1 hour or until pork chops are tender.
