    Cod Fish Cakes

    Recipe Introduction

    This is a real New England supper. Try a little catsup on these cakes. Serve with baked beans, pickled beets and Boston Brown Bread.

    List of Ingredients

    1 16oz. can Cod fish, (near the tunafish in your grocer store )
    1 c. leftover mashed potatoes.
    1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
    2 tbsp. milk
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. dried parsley
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    flour
    butter

    Recipe

    Check cod to make sure no bones, etc are in it.
    Then mash in a bowl.
    Add potatoes, onion, milk, egg, parsley and pepper and mix well.
    Make into 6 patties.
    Dust patties with flour.
    Melt some butter in a non stick fry pan and cook slowly until golden brown on both sides.
    Makes 6 servings.
