List of Ingredients
1/3 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tsp. + 2 tbsp. lime juice, separated
1/4 c. chopped cucumber, peeled, seeds off
1 tbsp. dry minced green onion
pinch + 1/2 tsp. salt, separated
pinch + 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. melted butter
4 4oz. salmon or tuna steaks
1/8 tsp. dried dill
Recipe
Use a small bowl and stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, the 1 tsp. lime juice, cucumber, onion, pinch of salt and pinch of pepper. Cover and chill.
Combine the 2 tbsp. lime juice and butter together.
Brush the butter mixture on all sides of the steaks, saving the excess.
Mix the 1/2 tsp. salt, the 1/4 tsp. pepper, and the dill together and sprinkle over the fish steaks.
Cook on the grill over a medium heat, for 3 - 5 minutes on each side, or until steaks flake, basting with the leftover butter mixture. (May also be cooked in the oven at 350 - 375 until steaks are opaque and flake.)
Serve with a big tablespoon full of the cucumber sauce.
Makes 4 servings.
