    Glazed Tuna Steaks, microwaved

    1/3 cup dry sherry
    1 tablespoon minced ginger root
    1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
    1 teaspoon honey
    2/3 tablespoon minced garlic
    1 pound tuna steak, cut into 4 pieces
    you will need a 10 inch microwave browning skillet

    Recipe



    Combine the sherry, gingerroot, soy sauce, honey and garlic together in a glass measuring container.
    Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 minute, Or until the mixture boils. Let cool slightly.
    Place the tuna pieces in an 11x7x1 1/2 inch baking dish.
    Pour the marinade voer the tuna pieces.
    Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
    Remove the tuna from the marinade, and set marinade aside.
    Preheat the skillet on high for 8 minutes.
    Then place the tuna pieces on the skillet with the thickest parts of the fish towards the outer edges.
    Remain uncovered and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
    Turn over and baste the other side with the marinade.
    Still uncovered, microwave on high for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
    Cover and let set for 2 minutes.
    Serve immediately with the warmed marinade.
    Makes 4 servings.

    This may be cooked on your indoor or outdoor grills, too.
