List of Ingredients
for the crust:
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. cold water
for the filling:
1/2 c. onion
2 tbsp. butter
salt and pepper to taste
minced garlic or garlic powder
chopped parsley
4 eggs
2 c. milk
2 c. drained canned salmon
1 c. grated cheese
Recipe
for the crust:
Mix the flour, salt and shortening until crumbly.
Mix in the water until the dough cleans the sides of the bowl. Roll out thin and line a 9" pie plate.
for the filling:
Saute the onion in butter.
Add the salt and pepper to taste, garlic and parsley. Remove from heat.
Use a small bowl to beat the eggs and milk together lightly.
Crumble the salmon into a bowl and stir in the onion.
Add the milk mixture and cheese to the salmon.
Pour into the pie shell and bake at 350 for 20 - 30 minutes.
