for the pie:
1, 6 ounce package strawberry gelatin
2 cups water
1, 20 ounce can crushed pineapple, undrained
1, 21 ounce can strawberry pie filling
for the topping:
1 cup sour cream
1, 8 ounce package softened cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts of choice
for the pie:
Bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat and
add gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Allow to cool
for about 20 minutes. Stir in pineapple and pie
filling until mixed. Pour into a 13x9x2 inch dish
and chill until firm.
for the topping:
Beat together the sour cream, cream cheese and
sugar until well mixed. Spread over top gelatin
mixture and sprinkle with nuts.
