Gelatin Whip Pie, (1, 2, 3 gelatin pie)
2/3 cup boiling water
1, 3 ounce package any flavor gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
ice cubes
1, 8 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1, 9 inch vanilla or graham cracker crust
Stir boiling water into gelatin in a large bowl for at least 2 minutes until crystals are completely dissolved.
Mix cold water and ice to measure 1 cup.
Add to gelatin, stirring until ice is melted.
Stir in whipped topping with wire whisk until smooth. Refrigerate 10 minutes, or until mixture JUST starts to thicken. This will start to mound.
Spoon into crust.
Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
When cut, should see layers, darkest on bottom. (If you
refrigerate it for too long the first time, you will not
get the separate layers.)
Makes 8 servings.
