    Strawberry Swirl Dessert

    List of Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups freshly sliced strawberries
    2 tablespoons + 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
    1 cup boiling water
    1, 3 ounce package strawberry gelatin
    1/2 pound miniature marshmallows
    1/4 cup milk
    1, 8 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed

    Recipe

    Sprinkle the sugar over the strawberries and let stand
    for 30 minutes.
    Dissolve the gelatin into the boiling water.
    Drain the strawberries and add enough water to juice to make 1 cup. Set strawberries aside.
    Add the gelatin mixture to the juice and chill to the consistency of egg whites.
    Heat the marshmallows and milk in a saucepan, stirring until the marshmallows melt. Let cool.
    Fold whipped topping into marshmallow mixture.
    Add the strawberries to the gelatin mixture and pour into a bowl or pan.
    Dump the topping mixture on top and swirl into the strawberry gelatin mixture.
    Chill until firm.
