2 tsp. peanut oil, or other oil
1 Tbs. fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup mirin, or sweet rice wine
2 Tbs. light tamari or soy sauce
1 lb. firm tofu, cut into 1 inch slices
Combine all ingredients, except tofu, in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Add tofu
and marinate 30 minutes. Preheat grill machine. Remove tofu from marinade
and reserve marinade. Arrange tofu steaks on hot grill. Close cover and cook
2 minutes. Brush with marinade, close cover, and cook another minute.
