Chili Dog Boats

8 French sandwich rolls, cut open and remove the
...breading from inside, (use for another recipe)
1 tablespoon butter
8 hotdogs
2, 15 - 16 ounce cans of chili with beans
1 cup shredded cheese (mild cheddar is best)
diced onions (optional)Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Use a non stick baking sheet or line one with foil. Set rolls on top.
Melt butter in frying pan and saute the hot dogs. Place cooked hotdogs into rolls on baking sheet.
Cook chili until heated in a saucepan. Then spoon in and around the hotdog in the rolls.
Sprinkle with the onions and cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese has melted and rolls are toasted. Serve immediately.
Makes 6 - 8 servings.
