    Lamb - Lamb Fries

    Recipe Introduction

    This recipe was not converted to USA measurements on the All Easy Cookin board.

    List of Ingredients

    1 teaspoon oil
    1/2 pound lamb, cut into thin strips
    4 slices chopped bacon
    1 sliced onion
    2 large thinly sliced potatoes
    4 teaspoons au jus, beef or brown gravy powder mix,
    ...stirred together with 1 1/2 cups water
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 tablespoon chopped parsley, optional

    Recipe

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan.
    Add lamb, bacon and onion.
    Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until lamb is browned.
    Remove from pan and reserve.
    Place a layer of potatoes in the bottom of a casserole dish.
    Cover with the lamb, onion and bacon.
    Finish with a layer of potatoes.
    Pour over gravy and season with salt and pepper.
    Cover with a tight fitting lid or foil.
    Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    Sprinkle with parsley before serving, if desired.
    Makes 2 servings.
