Lamb - Lamb Skewers With Herb Dip

Great to have as an appetizer. This can be prepared the day before. The yogurt dip goes really well with the lamb.
List of Ingredients
wooden skewers, presoaked in water for 30 minutes so they will not burn
1 1/2 pounds lean lamb fillets, minced
1 finely chopped onion
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground paprika
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
2 - 3 teaspoons freshly chopped mint
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon red wine
for dip:
1 cup unsweetened plain yogurt
2 - 3 cloves crushed garlic
3/4 teaspoon dried parsley
3/4 teaspoon dried chives
2 - 3 tablespoons freshly chopped mint
Recipe
Combine lamb, onion, garlic, wine, spices and herbs in bowl and mix well.
Shape about 1 tablespoon of the mixture around 1 end of the skewers and refrigerate.
Grill sticks until well browned all over and cooked through.
for dip:
Combine all the ingredients in bowl and mix well.
Serve the lamb with the herb yogurt dip.
Makes 30 - 40.
