    Veal - Veal with Mushroom Sauce

    Recipe Introduction

    Good with roasted/baked potatoes or buttered rice/noodles.

    List of Ingredients

    2 pounds boneless veal cutlet, cut 1/8 - 1/4 inch thick
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    pinch paprika
    3 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons chopped shallot,
    ...or 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
    ...and 1 tablespoon chopped onion
    3 tablespoons flour
    1 cup light cream
    1/2 cup dry white wine
    1 cup sliced mushroom

    Recipe

    Mix salt, pepper and paprika together.
    Sprinkle veal with mixture.
    Melt the butter in a frying pan and add shallots.
    Saute until softened.
    Add veal and cook over a medium/high heat until
    no longer pink, approximately 4 minutes.
    Place veal in a bowl.
    Stir flour and cream into pan drippings.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth.
    Add mushrooms and meat to sauce.
    Cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.
