    Baked Pasta Patti Dinner (48)

    3 pounds elbow macaroni pasta
    5 pounds ground pork sausage
    5 pounds ground beef
    2 cups diced onion
    1 1/2 cups sausage drippings
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1/4 cup salt
    2/3 cup sugar
    2/3 cup vinegar
    3 quarts canned tomatoes
    3 quarts cooked lima beans

    Cook pasta in boiling salted water about 7 minutes.
    Drain and rinse.
    While pasta is cooking, mix the meats togehter.
    Use 1/2 the meat and shap into 48 patties. Brown well.
    Crumble rest of meat into skillet and brown well.
    Use drippings to brown onion.
    Stir in flour, salt, sugar and vinegar.
    Gradually add tomatoes and cook, stirring constantly until
    thickened.
    Fold in pasta, crumbled meat and lima beans.
    Pour into 3, 11x16x2 1/2 ich baking pans.
    Arrange 16 patties of meat on top of each pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes.
    Serves 48.
