Sausage Stuffed Shells
18 jumbo pasta shells, cooked al dente to package
...directions, drain, rinse with cold water, drain
1 pound bulk sausage
1, 15 ounce container Ricotta cheese
1 slightly beaten egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1, 28 ounce can tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 cups shredded Italian blend cheese (8 ounces)
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Need a 3 quart baking dish.
Cook sausage, stirring to break up, until no longer pink.
Drain.
Mix Ricotta, egg, and garlic powder together. Then stir
into sausage.
Mix Italian seasoning with tomato sauce and spoon about
1 cup into baking dish.
Spoon about 2 Tablespoons meat mixture into each shell.
and place on top of sauce in baking dish. Pour remaining
sauce over top and bake, uncovered for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake 10 minutes longer
or until cheese is melted.
Makes 6 servings.
