Pets Wipes

Recipe Introduction
I listed this as pet wipes, even though the
wording says goat wipes. We use a lot of pet
wipes in our house these days, what with our
oldest dog not being able to walk any longer,
or stand on his own for long.

Keep homemade "goat wipes" on hand for use in the barn or
for cleaning up goat baby butts, during after they've given birth
("leaking time"), or just to wipe your hands with.
Because essential oils have an antibacterial quality, you
can also use them as udder wipes.
Pet Wipes
To make your own wipes; you will need a plastic food storage
container with a tight fitting lid. NOT a coffee can because they
will rust. Use only Bounty or Brawny paper towels.
Other brands
will just disintergrate and become a mushy mess.
Use a bread knife to cut the roll in half, right through
the paper towels AND the cardboard center. Remove the
cardboard tube AFTER cutting.
In your plastic container mix:
1 tablespoon baby oil (or Calendula oil)
2 teaspoons degreaser type dishwashing detergent
2 cups water
5 drops Tea Tree essential oil
5 drops Lavender essential oil
Place 1 of the halves into the container.
Let the towels absorb the liquids.
Remove, turn over and put back into the container.
You want to get a rather even wetness on the towels.
To use your wipes:
Remove from the center of the roll like any other pop up wipe.
NOTE:
Don't add the commercial Teat Dips to this recipe!
By doing so the commercial dip strength dissipates quickly
and therefore will waste your money. Recipe
