    :Baking Pies in a Microwave

    Source of Recipe

from a nancy's kitchen newsletter reader

    List of Ingredients

Make the pie of your choice, using any fresh fruit like
apple, blueberry, etc. (may use frozen)
Make sure the crust is well sealed.
Cut vents in the upper crust.
Place on the turntable in the microwave and cook, (bake),
    on high, for l4 minutes.*
    Remove.
Brush on milk or cream and sprinkle with sugar.
Place in a 425 degree oven for about 10 minutes to brown.

    *Note:
If using canned pie filling, microwave for l2 minutes.
Using a turntable in the microwave makes it easier, as
you would not have to turn it by hand.
Also, the upper crust may rise as if it will burst, but
    that is fine.

Try a Dutch apple pie like this. Make sure to cover the
    apples well with the streusel.
You would bake in the microwave first, and then in the oven
to make the topping crisp, as with the above directions.
