    Source of Recipe

    from recipe circus

    List of Ingredients

    Basic sweetroll dough:

    2 c. lukewarm water
    2 packets dry yeast
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 tsp salt
    1 egg
    6 1/2-7 c. white flour

In a bowl dissolve yeast in warm water.
Stir in sugar, salt, shortening and egg.
Mix in flour until you get a soft dough.
Knead thoroughly for about 4 - 5 minuets.
Place in a large greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth.
Place in a warm spot until the dough rises to double in bulk.
    (about 1 - 1 1/2 hours.) Punch down.

    for the orange rolls:
    make frosting listed below first

    Recipe

    Separate dough into two parts,.
Roll out on a floured board until it is 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick and about 12x15
    long.
Spread with some of the frosting ...more is not better...
your rolls will swim in it.
    Just spread a thin layer.
Roll up, jelly roll style rolling from the long side.
    Cut into pieces 1" wide.
Place rolls in a greased 9x13 rectangle pan.
Cover and let rise to double in bulk.
    Bake in a 375 oven for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Watch them closely so they don't burn.
    Cool And frost.

    for the orange frosting:

    1 lb powdered confectioners sugar
    6 - 8 tbsp. softened butter
1/2 small (6oz.) can orange juice concentrate
    zest of 2 oranges
(use a fine grater or a zester to grate the orange peel.)

Beat sugar, butter and juice concentrate until creamy.
Fold in the zest by hand.
Start out with 6 tbsp of butter and the juice concentrate
    ( DO NOT ADD WATER)
If it is to stiff, add a little more of the juice concentrate,
you don't want it runny, but you don't want it too stiff either.
If you want it to be more orangey add a little more orange
concentrate, but don't get it too thin.
