    Pumpkin Pie Squares w/pecans

    Pumpkin Pie Squares

    1 cup sifted flour
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup quick cook rolled oats
    1/2 cup butter
    1 pound (16 ounce) canned pumpkin
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1, 13 1/2 ounce can evaporated milk
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    2 eggs
    3/4 cup granulated white sugar
    2 Tablespoons butter
    1/2 cup pecans, chopped
    1/2 cup brown sugar

    Combine flour, oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup
    butter in bowl and mix until crumbly.
    Press into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 minutes.
    Combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, salt and spices and
    beat well. Pour into crust.
    Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 minutes.
    Combine pecans, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons butter.
    Sprinkle over pumpkin. Return to oven and bake for
    15 to 20 minutes.
    Cool in pan and cut into 2 inch squares.
    Makes 2 dozen.
