another one from an old newspaper years back
Strawberry Pie #3, creamy*

1, 3 ounce package cook type vanilla pudding,
...not instant
2 cups water
1, 3 ounce package strawberry gelatin
4 cups freshly sliced strawberries
..(1 pound container of fresh = 4 cups)

In a medium saucepan, add water and pudding mix.
Stir well and heat to a boil.
Remove from heat and Immediately add the gelatin;
stirring until dissolved.
Set aside and let cool to room temperature.
Place sliced berries into the bottom of a deep dish
pie plate.
Pour cooled pudding mixture over top of the berries.
Refrigerate until chilled.
