that came with my perfect donut maker.
It bakes instead of frying and came with 2
pans and a icing decorating tube w/tips.
donuts - Bran, healthy, baked
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup granola or bran buds
1/2 cup raisiins
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
Soak granol/bran buds and raisins in milk and orange
juice for 15 minutes.
Stir in egg, oil and brown sugar.
Mix together dry ingredients and add them to the batter mixture
well blended.
Lightly coat donut pan with cooking spray.
Pour batter into molds up to 2/3's full.
Bake 5 minutes or until tops spring back when lightly touched.
Let cool. Remove and dip into vanilla glaze and toasted coconut.
When donut pan is cool, wipe clean and repeat process for baking.
Makes approximately 12 large donuts or 36 bit sized donuts.
Coconut can be toasted in a 350 degree oven.
Spread coconut on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Stir every 10 minutes until toasted.
