I made some changes as my hubby does not care for
Kielbasa or smoked sausage. I didn't use the butter
but substituted bulk pork sausage which I browned
first. Then I added 1/2 chopped onion, 1/2 head cabbage,
and I added 1 Tablespoon of chopped garlic. Yummy!servings.

1/2 cup butter, (1 stick)
1 large onion, sliced
1 head of green cabbage, chop up
1 pound Polish kielbasa, thinly sliced
1 pound box mini potato and cheese pierogies
salt and pepper to taste
Boil pierogies to package directions.
Brown the onion in a large frying pan with the butter.
After the onions start to soften, add the cabbage and
saute it with the onions.
Add the kielbasa and steam for a few minutes until the
meat starts to brown and the cabbage has had a chance
to cook down a bit.
When the kielbasa, onions and cabbage are just about
done, add the pierogies.
Mix everything together and let steam in the skillet
for a few minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
