Sauerkraut w/Pierogies + Kielbasa

1, 16 ounce bag sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1/2 pound kielbasa, (or smoked sausage),
...cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 1/2 cups Granny Smith apple, sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup water
1, 16 ounce package precooked potato + onion pierogies
Mix the sauerkraut, kielbasa, apple and water in a large, deep,
non stick frying pan. Cover.
Use a medium heat and cook for 5 - 7 minutes, or until the apple
is almost tender. Be sure to stir occasionally.
Lay the pierogies on top of the sauerkraut mixture. Cover.
Continue to cook for 3 - 4 minutes. Uncover and turn pierogies.
Cover and cook 3 for - 4 more minutes, or until the apple is tender
and the pierogies are heated through.
