Pork chop recipe with cabbage, tomato juice, vinegar,
a little sugar, and other seasonings.
skillet - SweeTart Pork Chops w/Cabbage
6 thick pork chops, trim excess fat
salt and pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup tomato juice
4 cups coarsely chopped cabbage
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
pepper
Brown pork chops in a heavy skillet in hot oil. Pour
off excess fat. Season chops with salt and pepper.
Add onion, vinegar, and tomato juice. Cover and cook
over Low heat until pork chops are tender, about
30 minutes.
Add cabbage; sprinkle with sugar, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes longer, until cabbage
is tender. Remove the pork chops and toss cabbage
in the sauce before serving.
Makes 6 servings.
