Cranberry Pudding w/Butter Sauce

This can be made in the crockpot/slow cooker
instead of the oven.
Cranberry Pudding w/Butter Sauce
1/2 c. molasses
boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. fresh cranberries
Measure mlasses into a 2 cup measuring cup.
Add boiling water to the 1 cup line.
Stir the baking soda into the molasses mixture.
In a separate bowl mix, flour and baking powder together.
Add the cranberries, the molasses mixture. Stir to combine.
Pour into well greased mold and steam for 2 1/2 hours.
OR
Place pan in a crockpot and cook on high.
If you do not have a cake pan that will fit into the crockpot,
you can use a greased coffee can.
Butter Sauce
1/2 c. butter, (1 stick)
1 c. powdered confectioners sugar
1/2 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla.
Mix together and heat until well blended.
Serve warm over pudding.
