    Recipe Introduction


    Frozen rhubarb may be used to make the sauce. Other fruits may
    also be substituted for the rhubarb.

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups boiling hot rhubarb sauce
    2 tablespoons butter
    1/2 cup white granulated sugar
    1 1/2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

    Recipe



    Cream together the butter and sugar.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Stir together the milk and vanilla.
    Alternately add the flour mixture and milk mixture
    to the sugar mixture.
    Gently drop by spoonfuls into the rhubarb sauce.
    Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
    Serve dumplings hot over a rhubarb sauce, plain or with
    whipped cream.
