This is a tart and spicy condiment that adds zest to most anything you serve it with.
List of Ingredients
2 qrts. raw, chopped rhubarb
1 qrt. raw, chopped onions
1 c. vinegar
4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. allspice
1 dash clovesRecipe
Put the rhubarb, onions and vinegar in a pot and boil until soft, about 1/2 hour.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer until thickened.
Pour into sterilized pint jars. Seal with lids and hot water process for 10 mins.
Makes 6 - 8 pints.
