Creamy Cucumber + Onion Salad

2 cucumbers, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon salt
1 med. (sweet) onion, thinly sliced (WallaWalla)
Mix together in a bowl. Let stand 30 minutes. Drain.
Combine:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tablespoon dill weed seasoning, or seed
4 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons dried chives
dash pepper
Mix with cucumbers and onions. Chill.
Serves 4 to 6.
