I had this posted before, but made some changes as the other
version was too thin and quite peppery.
Country Gravy #1*, (w/ground black pepper)
Reserve any cooked bits from your cooked meat and
1 Tablespoon of drippings in the pan. Set aside.
whisk together:
1/4 cup + 1/8 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 cups milk
Whisk the milk mixture into the reserved drippings in the pan.
Cook over a medium/high heat, whisking constantly, for 10
to 12 minutes, or until thickened.
