    Barbeque Sauce, strawberry

    3 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
    1 1/4 pounds strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced
    6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
    6 tablespoons water
    2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
    3/4 cup ketchup
    4 tablespoons Dijon style mustard
    1 teaspoon hot sauce

    Stir together sugar, strawberries, vinegar, water, and pepper
    in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    Cook at a slow boil for about 45 minutes or until thick.
    Remove from heat.
    Add ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce. Mix thoroughly.
    Makes 3 to 4 cups, (about 20 servings).
