    Sweet + Sour Sauce #3

    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 tbsp. chopped green pepper, optional
    1 tbsp. chopped canned pimiento, optional
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tbsp. Cold water
    1 tsp. paprika

    Mix sugar, vinegar, pepper, pimento, water and salt
    together in a saucepan. Simmer 5 minutes.
    Combine cornstarch and 1 tbsp. cold water and add
    to the hot mixtsure. Cook and stir until bubbly.
    Cool.
    Add paprika.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups.
