    from the side of a generic cornstarch box
    White Sauce, (medium)

    1 Tablespoon cornstarch
    1 cup milk
    2 Tablespoons butter, melted
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

    Stovetop directions:
    Combine the cornstarch and milk together in a small
    saucepan until smooth.
    Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil 1 minute.

    Microwave directions:
    In a microwave safe bowl, combine the ingredients as
    directed above, except microwave on 100% power,
    (high heat), for 3 to 5 minutes, whisking twice, or
    until boils. Let boil for 1 minute.
    Makes 1 cup.

    May be used for creamed vegetables, poultry or casserole dishes.
