Bacon, Peas + Turnips

List of Ingredients
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup butter
1/2 pound bacon, chopped into 1/4 inch pieces
1 1/4 pounds peeled turnips, chopped into 1/4 inch cubes
2 pounds frozen green peasRecipe
In a stockpot heat oil over medium heat.
Fry bacon until brown.
Remove bacon to a paper towel covered plate to drain.
Add butter to stockpot to melt.
Add turnips to stockpot and saute for about 10 minutes
or until golden brown.
Add peas and mix thoroughly.
Cook until peas are cooked through.
Add bacon and mix thoroughly.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serves 6.
