Cabbage Soup, creamy
1 large head cabbage, shredded
chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup cream
1/2 cup butter, (1 stick, 1/4 pound)
2 Tablespoons flour
salt and pepper to taste
lime slices for serving, optional
Boil cabbage in broth until tender.
Add butter, salt and pepper.
Mix flour and cream together until smooth.
Pour over cabbage and simmer until soup
thickens like a gravy.
Add a little milk if it gets too thick.
Serve cold with slice of lime floating on top.
