    Source of Recipe

My sister made this soup this week and it was really good!
So good, that I thought I would pass it along.
    It is rather spicy.

    Corn Soup, w/sausage, spicy

    2 medium white potatoes
    1 medium onion
    1 jalapeno
    1 chorizo sausage
    18 ounces frozen corn kernels
    5 sprigs fresh cilantro
    2 teaspoons minced garlic
    1 Tablespoon basil
    1/4 cup white wine
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    1/4 cup Olive oil
    4 1/4 cups chicken stock
    1 cup water
    1 teaspoon pepper
    1 Tablespoon dried chicken bouillon
    1 dash hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Peel and slice potatoes into 1/2 inch slices.
Peel and dice onions and jalapeno.
Remove skin from chorizo (if necessary) and slice into 1/2
    inch pieces.

Saute lightly potatoes, onion, jalapeno, chorizo and minced garlic in
olive oil. Add wine, lemon juice, seasonings and saute a moment more.
Add the chicken stock, bouillon and water. Simmer until potatoes are
tender. Add corn kernels and simmer 5 minutes longer.

Remove from heat and pulse 1/2 to all of the soup (depending on how
chunky you would like it), reheat and serve.
Makes 4 to 6 servings, but can be doubled.
