Cream Soup - Dry Mix Substitute

Recipe Introduction
This is a simple mix to have on hand to make hot soup quickly! Use this mix instead of condensed soups in recipes for casseroles or scalloped potatoes.
List of Ingredients
2 c. non fat dry milk
3/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. dried instant low sodium chicken bouillon
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. dried onion flakes or equivalent in onion powder
1 tsp. dried crushed thyme
1 tsp. dried crushed basil
(Or use a total of 2 tsp. of Italian seasoning instead of the thyme and basil.)Recipe
Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
To use:
Mix 1/3 c. dry mix with 1 1/4 c. water in a saucepan.
Cook and stir until thickened.
This recipe makes 3 cups of soup mix, the equivalent of 9 cans of soup.
