    Green Bean Stew*

    Recipe Introduction

I have made this a few times, and have made a few changes in my version of this. So yummy every single time I make it. I made this again last night, 1/15/06, and it is still so delicious!

    Green Bean Stew*

    1 pound chopped bacon
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, (this is the normal,
...amount, but I triple it for my family)
    1 large minced onion
    4 chicken bullion cubes
    3 cups vegetable/V-8 type juice, (24 ounces)
1, 16 ounce can chopped/diced tomatoes, with liquid
3, 16 ounce cans cut green beans, with liquid
2, 14.5 ounce cans chicken broth
2 Tablespoons store packaged real bacon bits, optional
1/2 pound uncooked pasta, (I have used elbows or ditalini
    styles)

Brown the bacon with the pepper until almost crisp.
Original recipe says to drain, but I do not.) Set aside.
Place everything, EXcept the pasta, into your soup pot.
Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
Uncover. Add pasta. Cover and simmer until noodles are
cooked to desired tenderness or package directions.
