Stuffed Pepper Soup #3
2 pounds ground beef, browned
28 ounce can tomatoes
28 ounce can tomato sauce
2 cups cooked rice
2 cups green pepper chunks
2 beef bouillon cubes dissolved in 2 cups hot water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Brown the ground beef.
Combine all in large heavy kettle.
Bring to a boil over medium then decrease heat and cover.
Simmer slowly 45-60 mins. being careful to stir often.
This makes 4 quarts of a very thick, hearty soup.
