    Sweet + Sour Beef Stew

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, in 1" cubes
    2 tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 c. sliced onions
    1 8oz. can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 c. + 1/4 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    hot, cooked noodles
    cornstarch

    Recipe



    Heat the oil and brown the meat.
    Add the carrots, onions, tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. the 1/2 c. water and the salt.
    Cover and cook over low heat until the meat is tender, about 2 hours.
    Combine cornstarch and the 1/4 c. cold water, stirring to disssolve any lumps.
    Add to the beef mixture. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Serve over the hot noodles.
