Children under 3 months old should go directly to the
doctor if they have any of these symptoms.
Use instead of juice or milk for diarrhea, vomiting,
and fever.
Electrolyte Drink, (similar to Pedialyte)
4 cups water
1/2 level teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 packet soft drink mix, like Wylers/Koolaid,
...for flavor, optional
Mix until all is dissolved.
Store in the refrigerator.
Throw away any remaining after 1 week.
You can also freeze some in ice cubes to use later,
as ice pops, or to keep drinks cold.
