Craft - Plastic Lids Magnet/Ornaments
you will need:
plastic frozen juice or other lids, washed and dried
old pictures
lamination
glue
magnet strips, this may be purchased on a roll at
...most stores that sell craft supplies
or
string or fishing line
glitter glue, paint or bric-a-brac for decoration
Trace a circle from one of the lid's onto sturdy paper.
This is your template, (pattern).
Shrink the picture, if needed, to size, by using a smaller
size scale on your printer, or scanner, or whatever other
means you have.
When dry, laminate the picture, so it will last.
Trace the template around the picture.
Cut, and glue onto the lid.
You may do this with another picture on the back
or use a diferent pose or age picture of the same person
/thing
or
any other picture you would like there
or
a piece of felt/poster paper with the name of the
person on the front written and their age.
Just do the same laminating so it will hold up.
That is, if you are making an ornament, or if you
just want to hang it on a window pane or
wherever else you may want to hang it.
If you are doing the double sided lids, do not
forget to poke a hole through the top and thread
string or fishing line through it.
OR
You may cut a piece of magnet strip to fit on the back.
Glitter glue, paint, bric-a-brac or whatever on the border.
Let dry.
Magnets may be hung on refrigerator.
Two sided pictures can be used for ornaments or just
hang and enjoyed.
