    List of Ingredients

    Sidewalk Chalk

4 - 5 washed and dried egg shells
    1 teaspoon flour
1 teaspoon very hot tap water
food coloring, needed for colored chalk, but not necessary
    strips of paper toweling

Place egg shells into a bowl. Grind into a powder.
(A mortar and pestle works great, if you have a set).
Discard any large pieces of egg shell.
Add the flour and hot water in another bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of the egg shell powder. Mix until a paste forms.
Add food coloring, if desired, and mix in.
Remove from bowl and roll into a cylinder shape.
Lay into a strip of paper toweling and roll up.
Let dry for 3 days or until hard.
Unwrap from paper toweling and use for sidewalk chalk.
