Recipe Introduction
I thought this was a rather cool idea to share.
List of Ingredients
Make a Quilt from T-Shirts or Sweaters
Make a quilt from T-shirts that you have gotten from places
you and everyone else you know has gone and got you one.
Cut a 10x10 or 12x12 inch square of domestic or muslin material,
solid white. Then cut the t-shirt to fit the square.
(Can use smaller squares if need to. You could also put 2 different
ones together to make a larger one.)
If you use wonder betweem the t=shirt and muslin to hold together,
it could make it a bit stiff. You could try fusing material, that stays
fairly flexible, between the two materials.
Sew the t-shirt and muslin together in squares.
Use a heavier weight fabric for your backing, like a denim.
You can also use an old or new blanket between the backing and
the front squares.
Sew the t-shirt/sweater squares to the backing.
Finish the edge off and it is done. Plus you have used those t-shirts
to make something useful and memorable.
