    List of Ingredients

    Ironing Board Cover

Ironing board covers are fairly simple to make.
Unroll the desired fabric, good side up.
Lay the uncovered ironing board, upside down, on
the good side of the material.
Cut an edging around the ironing board that is
approximately 6 inches larger than the ironing
    board itself.
Turn the edges under 1/2 inch and then another 1
inch to form the string/elastic pocket that runs
    around the board.
Sew the folded pocket, leaving the opening for the
string/elastic to go through. The opening for the
string/elastic is usually on the wider/bottom.
However you may place the opening wherever it suits
you, as long as the ties do not get in the way when
    ironing.
Use a medium size safety pin and stick it through the
string/elastic a couple of times before closing.
Insert into one side of the opening and feed through
    the entire pocket.
Cover ironing board with a couple layers of old towels
or flat material items, then place the cover on, good
side up, and carefully draw the string/elastic through
while working the cover evenly over the board, making
sure there are no wrinkles in the flat/ironing side.
Voila, a nice ironing board cover with the design you
want and that stays snug around the sides.
