craft - Drying/Pressing Flowers
If you want a flat flower: place the flower you
select between 2 pieces of glass. Bake in the oven
at 300 degrees F., until dried.
If you want the whole flower, shaping and all,
*not flattened):
Place selected flower in a microwave safe container.
Pour sand into the bottom of the container. Insert the
stem of the fower into the sand already in the container.
Then very carefully, maybe like sifting, cover the flower
with a fine sand. Shake just a little bit to settle the sand
and flower in place. Microwave for 7 - 8 minutes. Let
sand and container cool Completely before you, carefully
pour the sand out, a little at a time.

Drying Flowers
10 parts white cornmeal
3 parts borax
Mix together.
Bury flowers in mixture.
Let set for 2 weeks, and the dried flowers will
last for years.
