    craft - PineCone, Baked Scents

    Source of Recipe

    this one is from myfreecom

    List of Ingredients

    craft - PineCone, Baked Scents

    cinnamon*
    ginger*
    nutmeg*

    baking sheet
    aluminum foil
    newspapers
craft glue mixed with equal amounts of water
    a foam brush
    pinecones

    Rinse pinecones under running water.
Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Lay the pinecones on baking sheet.
Bake at 200 until the pinecones open up.
(This not only kills any little bugs that may be inside
the pinecones but also melts the sap resulting in a
    pretty glaze).
Spread pinecones out on layers of newspapers and set
    aside to dry completely.
Apply the glue to the pinecones.
Mix the spices in a bowl using a wire wisk.
*Add any other spices that you like the smell of.
Mix the spices together in the proportions that you desire.
(Remember that cinnamon helps deodorize too.)
Roll the pinecones in the spice, or add the spices to a
baggie and shake to coat one at a time, like a shake
    and bake!
After coated with the spices, allow to thoroughly dry.

Thes are great as tree ornaments, in wreaths, in bowls,
or in gift baskets and adds a nice scent to any room.
To refresh: pop into microwave or oven until the smell
    is revived.
