This is an old recipe.
Candied Sweet Potatoes
2, 30 ounce cans sweet potatoes, drained,
...cut into pieces, can mash if desired
pinch of salt
3/4 cup granulated white sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted (1 stick)
Lightly grease a 9x13x2 inch baking pan.
Mix above ingredients together and pour into baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
for the topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup nuts of your choice
1/4 cup butter
Cut the butter into the flour until crumbly.
Add the sugar and nuts.
Sprinkle on top of potatoes.
Continue baking 10 minutes.
Serves 6 - 8.
