Vegetable Fritters
1 cup chickpea flour,
...(or red or yellow lentil (soaked), if using lentils,
...blend with just enough water to cover to make a paste
salt and chili powder to taste
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1 cup plain yogurt
1 sliced potato
1 sliced onion in rings
5 spinach leaves
oil for frying
Blend the chickpea flour, salt, chili, cumin, cilantro and yogurt
together until of a medium consistency paste.
Dip the vegetables into the mixture.
Deep fry in hot oil until golden in color.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with sauce or chutney.
